About Atlas Learning Collective

At Atlas Learning Collective, we believe that education is more than academicsβ€”it's about nurturing the whole child and helping each student discover their unique purpose and gifts. We walk alongside families as they steward their children's hearts and minds, creating a foundation of knowledge, character, and wisdom that will guide them throughout life.

We create a collaborative learning environment where homeschool families come together to share wisdom, build meaningful community, and inspire one another. The founder of Atlas is passionate about cultivating not just knowledge, but character, integrity, and a genuine love of learning in each child entrusted to our care.

Meet the Founder

Olivia Smith

Licensed K–6 Educator & Founder

My name is Olivia Smith and I am a licensed K–6 educator and the founder of Atlas. My background includes experience in both traditional and homeschool learning environments. These experiences have shaped my belief that children learn best in intentional, relationship-driven settings where they feel known, supported, and confident in their abilities.

I have a deep love for education, children, and the process of instilling confidence in young learners. As a founder and educator, I am passionate about building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math while also nurturing curiosity, independence, and character. My approach focuses on educating the whole childβ€”academically, socially, and emotionallyβ€”so each student is prepared not only for school, but for life. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Questions You May Have

Classes take place in Marion, Iowa. The exact address will be disclosed when you register.

I bring over 15 years of experience working with children and families and understand how important trust is. I prioritize a safe, welcoming environment for every child and believe strong trust between educators and parents is essential. I'm always happy to provide references to help you feel comfortable and confident in your choice.

We understand how important it is to feel confident about where your child is spending time. Our home is a safe, calm, and welcoming space, shared only by my husband and me. We do not have other adults living in our home, allowing us to provide a consistent, secure environment where families can feel at ease.

Our programs are designed for homeschool families, dual-enrolled students, and traditional students who want additional enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom.

We partner with families to support learning in a way that feels personal, flexible, and encouraging. Our approach prioritizes strong relationships, engaging enrichment, and a positive experience for every student.

As a Christian, my faith informs my values and approach to teaching. However, our learning center welcomes students from all backgrounds, and faith-based teaching is reserved for classes that are clearly designated as Bible-based.

Please reach out anywayβ€”we're happy to explore creative ways to support you and your student. Flexible options such as dual enrollment may be available, and while we do not hire nannies, we may be able to help connect you with childcare resources that could work for your family.

Atlas continues to grow thoughtfully based on family interest, student needs, and capacity. While we hope to expand offerings over time, class sizes will intentionally remain small to preserve the quality, relationships, and learning environment Atlas is known for. If you're interested in additional grades or enrichment classes, we'd love to hear from you!
